Encontro MARE 2026 takes place on 8 and 9 October at Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal.
Registration is now open and runs until 15 September!
The event, organised by the Centre for Marine and Environmental Sciences (MARE), brings the MARE community together for two days dedicated to scientific exchange, strategic reflection and shaping the institution's future.
The provisional programme includes some key moments:
- Welcome Session, 8 October, 2.30 pm, with Pedro Raposo de Almeida, Director of MARE, and Ricardo Salgado, Coordinator of MARE-IPSetúbal
- Scientific Council, 8 October, 3.00 pm
- Thematic Line Sessions, 9 October, 10.00 am
- Joint Session of MARE members, 9 October, 2.00 pm, including a message from the Director, a reflection on the future of MARE's Thematic Lines, and a Round Table
- Closing Session, 9 October, 4.30 pm, with Pedro Raposo de Almeida and Ricardo Salgado
At the same time, submissions for e-posters are also open, with a deadline of 15 September. Submission is fully open, allowing posters already presented at other conferences or meetings to be submitted, with no peer review process, enabling quick and barrier-free participation.
