The main objective of this project is to provide the essential scientific knowledge to support a proposal for a sustainable fisheries regulation of Ruditapes phillipinarum in the Tagus estuary. Proposals will be made for management measures of the species, based on their distribution and abundance, growth and reproductive cycle, duly framed by a detailed knowledge of the impacts of the presence of clams and fishing gears and by the socio-economic context of the activity of harvesting.
