The second edition of the advanced course “Living Oceans and Climate Change” (LOCC'19) will address current challenges in marine research, particularly the description of the threats to biomarine resources with commercial interest as a direct consequence of climate variability.
The course intends to expose to the participants (master or PhD students) the most recent developments and methodologies applied on marine ecology. LOCC'19 will be based on a holistic approach where experiments, field observations and theoretical sessions will be combined. International keynote speakers will describe recent advances in marine ecology research - experimental designs, responses of marine organisms and climate variability.
In addition to the academic program, the course will offer the participants the opportunity of enjoying the welcoming city of Peniche that claims to be “The Wave Capital”.
