Next Wednesday, April 10, Municipio de Almada will hold a conference entitled "Almada's sea oaks: a unique heritage to conserve". This conference is the result of a protocol established between Municipio de Almada and MARE, and has also the collaboration of ICNF and Oceanário de Lisboa
The conference will be accompanied by the opening of the photographic exhibition "Seahorses of Almada", by underwater videographer and photographer Sylvie Dias. This exhibition portrays dives carried out on Almada's waterfront, which support the characterization of the local seahorse communities.
These free events offer the chance to learn a little more about these animals, contributing to their conservation by opening up a space for reflection on the management and preservation of the ecological value that exists in this riverside territory.
Registration for the conference is compulsory and has no associated cost.
