On May 21 and 22, Lisbon will host the “Climate Smart & Safe Aquaculture Conference 2025”. Co-hosted by MARE, this conference aims to facilitate knowledge sharing between professionals in order to promote understanding, collaboration and aquaculture's capabilities to respond to the impact of climate change in an ever-changing global environment.
The event will also address key learnings from the current situation, highlighting the development of new climate-smart strategies, tools for assessing animal welfare and challenges posed by emerging risks to increase livelihood resilience to threats and crises affecting aquaculture and aquatic food security.
The submission period is open until April 8, for sessions on one of the following themes: New tools for animal welfare; Emerging risks; and Climate smart strategies.
