The exhibition "Coral Change" presents a blend of art and science exploring change in shapes and colours of reef corals. The scientists contributed stories and images of coral reefs changing as they are destroyed and then recover from disturbances like storms and heatwaves. The ceramic artist built imaginary organisms inspired by these stories and images. The outcome is a conversation between ceramic sculptures and digital images that reflects constant change.
The exhibition will have an opening ceremony at the Museu do Mar Rei D. Carlos on Saturday 8th March, at 3pm, and will remain available to the public until the 9th of June. At the opening date, the ceramic artist Catarina Nunes and the Macroscope Lab will be at the museum.
