From January 16 until June 27, the Itinerant Exhibition “Native Ichthyofauna of the Rivers of the Western Region” will be at the Interpretation Center of Geoparque Oeste. The opening will be on January 16 at 3pm and will include a brief presentation by MARE and Águas do Tejo Atlântico.
The information panels created by the Native Fish Project, coordinated by MARE-ISPA in partnership with Águas do Tejo Atlântico, were supported by the Environmental Fund and aim to raise awareness of this important faunal group and make visitors aware of the need to implement measures to minimize its current risk of extinction.
The exhibition will be on tour in various locations across the country from May 2021, promoting environmental literacy in terms of preserving and enhancing river ecosystems and the Biodiversity associated with them.
