MARE attends 11th World Ocean Summit & Expo

The Lisbon Congress Center, in Praça das Indústrias, will host the 11th edition of the World Ocean Summit & Expo between March 11 and 13. Promoted by The Economist newspaper, the event returns to Lisbon this year, bringing together the scientific community, companies, government and financial organizations, and members of civil society from more than 80 different countries.

This year's edition will focus on ocean health, industry strategies for a sustainable ocean economy and ocean-climate solutions. With more than 200 speakers, solutions to the main global ocean challenges will be discussed in 50 working sessions and 10 interactive workshops.

MARE will be present at the event to disseminate and publicize its work, as well as the scientific research and innovation in all aquatic systems carried out by its more than 600 researchers. With its participation, MARE promotes its internationalization and strengthens its position as a reference institution in Marine and Environmental Sciences.
