Between March 10 and April 7, MARE and the University of Évora are hosting the course ‘Ecology and Management of Invasive Species’, organised by MARE researcher Pedro Anastácio. The course is aimed at undergraduates who want to learn about invasive alien species.
This is an online e-learning course aimed at graduates who want to learn about invasive alien species. The content is freely available (as a MOOC - Massive Open Online Course) but is subject to enrolment for access.
To obtain a certificate from the University of Évora, prior registration with the academic services is mandatory. The course takes place with the support of the lecturer during periods of 4 weeks for each edition. However, it is possible to complete the course almost independently. The course is based on dozens of short, compulsory-to-view videos, on average 10 to 15 minutes long, made available online, after which it is also compulsory to take quizzes. The information is presented sequentially without skipping topics.
