The course “Ecological Restoration of Rivers and Coastal Systems” is back for a new edition. From June 23 to 27 you will have the opportunity to acquire basic concepts for the ecological restoration of aquatic ecosystems, and learn to identify the key components for drawing up ecological restoration plans.
The course covers the ecological aspects related to different types of aquatic systems: freshwaters and coastal systems. It covers the essential information and methods for designing plans to implement ecological restoration measures for water bodies. The contents are taught by researchers with extensive experience in implementing the Water Framework Directive and responsible for developing official methods and protocols and their intercalibration at European level. Essential topics will be covered for drawing up restoration projects or developing plans of measures, linked to the hydrology/hydraulics, biology or services of the ecosystems in question.
