Activity summary

Marco Simões has a master's degree in Marine Resources Biotechnology by the ESTM-PLeiria. He has been developing research work in the areas of Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering. He has used several molecular techniques in research with plants, fish pathogen detention, microbiology, metagenomics, metabarcoding and evolutionary genetics. Currently he is a PhD student, studying zooplankton and fish communities of Berlengas, and sardine population structure of Portuguese coast.
