She has a degree and a master's degree in Food Engineering and completed her PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2017 at ULisboa-ISA. She is currently a PhD researcher at IPLeiria, developing her research in the area of Food Innovation, exploring the potential of Marine Resources (new products, packaging, shelf-life). She is interested in macroalgae, particularly in the study of their bioactive potential applied to the food sector and oxidative stress induced by abiotic factors.
