Simão Maia is a phD student in the Do*Mar Doctoral Program at the University of Aveiro, funded by FCT, with a focus on the embryonic development of commercially important decapod crustaceans and fatty acid profi He completed his Master's degree in Aquaculture in 2019, was a SPEA volunteer and contributed to scientific projects, the most recent being CO-PESCA 2 - Implementation of the co-management committee for the harvesting of barnacles (Pollicipes pollicipes) in the Berlengas Nature Reserve.
