My main line of research is based on the study of emerging organic pollutants present in cosmetic products, such as sunscreens, called UV filters through simplified coastal and pelagic food chains, comparing sites with high tourist pressure and sites with difficult access in Madeira Island. In order to monitor the presence of these compounds and study their biomagnification and bioaccumulation from producers to top predators.
