Joana Silva (Ph.D) is a contracted researcher at the MARE - Polytechnic of Leiria, PI of FCT project NEURONS4 - New Edge in the therapeUtics of PaRkinsON´s diSeaSe from Seaweed (2022.09196.PTDC; budget 249K) and co-PI of the NEUROVETOX project. She I have worked in the field of marine biotechnology focused on the search for marine compounds isolated from macroalgae and their associated microorganisms with therapeutic interest in the field of pharmacology and dermatology.
