Activity summary

Focus on the taxonomy of benthic and potentially toxic dinoflagellates of the Iberian Peninsula coast. After sampling, microalgae cells are isolated and cultured. Later, analyzed by modern taxonomy as molecular biology and microscopy techniques . Physiological tests are also performed to understand the microalgae specific needs or how would they react at light, temperature or salinity changes in the environment.
