Activity summary
BSc. in Marine Biology and a Master in Marine Ecology, from the University of Lisbon. Joana has been working with marine mammals for the past 17 years, being involved in several cetaceans’ research projects in the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean. She is the coordinator of AIMM - Marine Environment Research Association and is currently developing her PhD project at MARE and AIMM focusing her research on the social organization of small dolphins, mainly on maternal strategies.
