Her Phd thesis in Ethnomathematics was about the mathematical practices of Argentinian artisans doing leather twisted braids. She is interested in the Ethnographical issues of Ethnomathematics, focusing on the possibilities of critical ethnography. In her Post-doctoral study in Portugal she is working on how to build and share local knowledge with the Costa de Caparica fishing community, in the framework of the Communitarian Education within the OLO - Observatório de Literacia Oceânica group
