Modelling Ocean Plastic Litter in a Changing Climate: Challenges and Mitigations
Oporto, Portugal | 26th - 27th April 2018
It is our great pleasure to invite you to " Modelling Ocean Plastic Litter in a Changing Climate: Challenges and Mitigations" workshop organized by Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Porto (CIIMAR), Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre (MARE), Instituto Español de Oceanografia (IEO) and Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS).
The workshop will focus on a number of high profile keynote speakers and the goal is to provide a forum of debate regarding the emerging issue of pollution by plastics in the marine environment and together discuss the challenges and potential of using simulating tools (modelling) to help predicting the potential effects of plastics (from nanoplastics to macroplastics) in marine ecosystems.
The final program will be available soon at ModelPlastics Workshop.
Feel free to share this email with colleagues and collaborators.
Looking forward to seeing you in Oporto.
